Family KTV cum pa's birthday

Today is my dad's birthday. But sad to say, he is no longer with us... passed away in 2003. Sis booked a KTV room in her office. wow, tat room is very spacious and cooling. The songs there are very updated too. I like it! ha... most of all, is free! B4 meeting sis at JTC, dearie and i went over my inlaws place for dinner. We brought Princeton and my maid there too. My inlaws will oversee the maid, as we dont intend to bring our boy along to the KTV, coz it might be too loud and noisy for the baby.

We reached JTC at 730pm, and sis say that we can oni sing till 1100pm... ha, we sang alot of songs. esp mi and zy. mum and sis oni sing afew songs. We even bought tidbits and drinks there. After that, we went back and fetch Princeton and maid. Then we drove sis home... A tiring nite for us, esp sis and zy, coz both of them stil need to work tmr. ha... but it was fun afterall...

Hope to have this occassion again. This time round must ask my bro inlaw, siyong along!

PERFECT EYESIGHT

I was short sighted since 12yrs old. I wore glasses more often than contact lenses, bcoz my eyes tend to get really dry up and tired. Even though i used one day Acuvue moist. I'm sick and tired of finding glasses every morning, so i decided to go for lasik surgery months ago. But that time i was pregnant, so it was not advisable to do it. Now that i have the time and money to do it, i decided i might as well go for it. The place i had choosen is at The Paragon, The Lasik Surgery Clinic. On the 260708 1030hrs, I went alone, bcoz zhenyu has to be at hm to look after our boy. i was there for my pre-evaluation process. The duration was about 3hrs! Gosh! I had to go through a series of test, to determine whether i am a suitable canditate of the LAsik surgery. So at 1400hrs, the doctor told me my eyes are perfect to do the surgery. So i agreed to have the surgery on the same day at 1930hrs. So, what am i going to do for the few hrs b4 going back to paragon? I went for my foot massage near BUgis, rest and relax first..

I called sis after my foot massage, she came down to accompany for the surgery.. how sweet of her. ha... coz after the surgery, i don't know am i able to regain my vision. Sis said that later i can't even find the taxi stand. haha... SO i meet her at The PAragon, and we went to Taka Mos Burger to have dinner. ABout 1915hrs, i strolled back to the clinic, while sis went to buy her movie ticket for tonight.

When i reached the clinic, they dressed mi up as though i was going to have a major surgery. So scary! The atmosphere there was abit tense, and the temperature there was so cold. I felt kind of nervous, so i kept massaging zhenyu and sis. Sis has to wait at the waiting area when i was inside queuing up for my turn.

After the surgery, i was able to see but my vision was abit blurred. Zhenyu msg mi, he would come and fetch mi home. So he brought along our boy together with the maid. We gave sis a lift to Marina Square as she was meeting my bro in law for the movie, The Red Cliff. The process of the Lasik was not totally painless, as what others said. sob... b4 the lasik begin, my eyes were force open by an instrument, and that really hurts! I almost scream! but the laser that went into my pupil don't hurts at all. My eyes are recovering well, jus that i had to wear sunglasses at nite, coz the lightings of the cars are too glaring. I'm so glad i was able to regain my perfect eyesight! Thank GOd.

A date with dearie

Yesterday dearie had a half day off. It was a rainy day, we waited for mummy to come back from her Tu Feng Wu, den we go out. It had been a long time since we last catch a show... It really been some time mi and dear really spend time together. Actually we intend to go to the Ten dollar ktv at smith street. But it required at least 4 person. Sis is tired, so we will go for movie instead.

Actually dear wanted to watch The Dark Knight, but the seats left were too near the screen. So we decided to catch HellBoy II. B4 movie, we had dinner at the foodcourt, dear bought mi dumpling green noodle, he had curry vege rice.

It was a nice, interesting show. Funni and aso touching... I tink that Hellboy is so cool! He is not ugly at all! i like him. After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Our baby Princeton cried non stop last nite again. He suffered from Colic i think. We bought some colic medicine from Guardian, but mummy say dont let him anyhow drink. Hope things can get better when he is older.

A new person at home....

My foreign domestic maid is finally here. SHe came on the 16th, zhenyu and i went bukit batok and pick her up in the evening at8pm. Her name is Amie, a Filippino. She had short hair, about 1.50cm and i guess she weighs around 50kg. The first impression that she gave me, quite a decent woman. But u know lah, these ppl will be very well behave for the 1st few months only, after that all her pattern come out.

Hmm... i have alot of friends who suggest to me not to "spoilt" the maid. They said we as an employer should set high standard for them, be strict so that they can maintain their quality of work. My ex navy colleague ivy, even told me not to buy anything for the maid, eg: clothes, shoes, bag. She told mi her mistakes by buying her maid all these, in the end, the maid took it for granted. Whenever they went shopping, the maid would hint ivy to buy things for her... haha. SHe also advise mi not to let my maid to have a choice to choose what she want to eat. Eg: when we gO outside for dinner, if we order duck rice, the maid will also eat duck rice. Sound abit mean right... they dont even have the right to choose wat they like to eat. But come to think of it, they are here to work and earn money, not come here and enjoy. But i also have gd examples of maid, who works 10 yrs for the family. She must be very nice that's y the employer wanted to extend her.

It had been two days since i done any housechores. I guess i gona be a fat and lazy pig soon. i expect Amie to mop the kitchen and living room every morning. And wash the toliet everyday... Wipe all the room with cloth everyday too. She is expected to take care of my princeton day and night time. But currently i will still look after my boy at night till dawn. Coz i think she need some time to adjust this busi schedule, and also i want her to have ample rest. I asked her to take out all my clothes from the messy cupboard, do a thorough cleanup, and fold it nicely back. I also asked her to take out all my "outside clothes" and handwash. After that she needs to iron it...

Now i must tink what else can she help mi... coz ppl told mi they must be occupied with things so that they have no time to "chu patterns". I think from next week onwards, i want her to cook lunch and dinner already. If not she will be very free and think that we always da bao for her.

It had been a bad week for mi and my family... coz princeton was sick. He suffered from flu and cough. It was quite serious, so we too him to kk. The doctor wants him to be admitted for further observation. This is the first time i saw Princeton crying with tears. His coughing was so bad with plague, so they had to use a tube to do the sucking out. It was so so painful i tin, if not my boy wouldn't have brust out crying...

Zhenyu stayed overnight to look after Princeton, whereas mi and mum took over morning and afternoon shift. It was not easy for zy... he as really shag out, oni sleep for 2hrs for two days. I guess the full month celebration is the cause of all these. Sob... there are so many ppl there, and there bound to be germs and virus spreading to princeton. I told myself, this is the last time i would let my boy suffer like this. I rather be kia su abit, den let this thing to happen again. So whoever who had flu, cough, fever, or even had smoke b4 u want to get near my boy, please buzz off b4 i tell u off.

During the 2 days at kk. we went to nearby places for dinner. Haha... sis took us to Geylang ave 39 for teochew porridge. And somewhere near bugis for some burnt BEe Hoon... haha... sometin new i din try b4..

So now Princeton had discharged, he is now at hm, but stil coughing quite badly. Zy went for 3days sailing, so i'm left wif mum and boy again. Very tiring, and till now my maid haven come. The agency told mi 4more days... hopefully she can be a great help, coz mum and i are really going to faint liao. Looking after a baby is 100times more difficult than working.

Chervons Baby SHower 290608

Our baby shower at The Chervons was finally over. It was a success, not oni we managed to cover the expenses, but aso most of the ppl turned up tat day. Of course, there are still ppl whp fly my kite. There bound to be oscar excuses like, i mistaken the date, or last min work, or even sick cannot come. Well, tat day was really a very hot day. Even the restaurant itself i feel so warm.

My relatives commented that the food was nice, esp the ang ku kuens, ha... i din even have the chance to taste the food. Coz was too busi entertaining the guests. I'm so glad some of my friends attended.. even though they are alone, but yet they stil make an effort to come. Wanna thank them here, my first known training friend in DBS, Peixuan, my 3rd yr poly friend shiling (used to sell chocolates together i rem), my pri sch friend songjin.

I esp wanna thank my bro in law, siyong, for helping us for the photo montage and video. He took great effort to get it done. Really appreciate him alot.

I was indeed very happi tat day, but of course i was shag out too. Coz i haven been sleeping for two nights. Princeton was not sleping well, and i'm having night shift, oni get to sleep afew hrs in the morning. Coz afternoon, i have to help mum too. One person looking after the baby is really tiring.
