We had planned this gathering a month ago. Yahui aka jojo invited us to her new love nest at The Palladium. It was a condo opposite Parkway Parade. There wasn't a full attendance, hopefully we can all gather again during cny. We do it in a potluck, and i volunteer to bring fried rice. Elisa bought a log cake, Audrey bought many varieties of fruits, and jasmine bought french loaf and cream puffs. The host made curry chicken and oven bake chicken wings, with fries and nuggets. Thanks Yahui, you are always my role model. Recently she quit her job, sahm to take care of the children, as her elder son needs more attention, and she decided to gave up her job for him.
She's the one who motivates me in many areas. Be it parenting, or being a supportive wife. We were glad to see our boys could click very well last night. Especially Jian ROng (her elder son), and Princeton were chatting non stop. We were laughing because children's conversation can be very interesting. They talked everything under the sun, and they danced together too! Thought of bringing them for a swim, but the sky is getting darker. Next time bah...
Yahui is a very modest woman. I always praised her, and she always said no no... I'm just trying to do my best. She told me, " i just never like to depend on other people." Once you rely, you became lazy... So true. Handling one child is already a difficult task, let alone she had two. Jian Rong and Princeton both belonged to very tough baby, and very very difficult toddler. Terrible TWO! JR was a headache ever since he was an infant. Yahui took all her effort, teach and groom him wholeheartedly. Because Tian was not an easy baby, i learnt alot from her:) JR and Tian shared many similar traits... both of them were slow in walking, but tian was even slower in his speech. Both love to throw tantrums and often out of control. But yesterday when i saw JR, i was so amazed from the last time i saw him. Gosh.... He was so well behaved, and well mannered. looking at my boy, i felt ashamed.
For yahui, kaijie, her younger son is a much faster learner. Therefore she diverts most of her attention in Jian Rong. As JR might be slower in his academic. Instead of giving up on him, or leaving him to the teachers, Yahui gave him intensive coaching everyday. Now, JR could even do simple maths and writing letters. Oh ya, JR is one year older than Tian, that's y i got a benchmark to follow. I don't hope Princeton to be an excellent fast learner, as long he don't fall behind I'm happy. Most importantly, he must learn the 3 senses ~ Sense of Danger, Sense of Empathy, Sense of Humour:) Got these quote from my friend, find it very meaningful.
Back to the gathering event. Elisa left early without eating the log cake.... We all left at 11 pm, and Princeton still couldn't bear to leave. Jr was asking when are we coming again?? So sweet of him.
I hope to have another gathering during CNY. With full attendance next round please. Not easy to have such catch up, shall contact them soon.
