Princeton Boy 2nd birthday

We celebrated Princeton's birthday on the 28th May 2010 Friday. One day in advance as the next day i will be attending my friend Patrick's wedding dinner. Uncle william's family will be flying off to Macau on sat too.

We reserved a table for ten at Zhou's Kitchen. The table was kind of too small, and the portion of the food is also quite little.... haiz.. worse is, the food is not nice. Gosh! I should have choosen Dian Xiao Er instead.

Tian tian was having cough n flu that day. We were afraid he might be grouchy and make alot of noise. But thank GOd, he was well behaved, seated throughout the dinner. Before the cake cutting session, he wanna take a walk outside, i guessed he sat too long and his legs were cramped :p

Princeton listens well and even better now. But he needs to improve in communicating with other people. He is wary and afraid of unfamilar faces. He could stare at a stranger for quite some time lol.

Princeton is coping well in school. The other class teacher commented that Tian is good looking. And even asked me who named his chinese name, it sounds good! Long time ago, way before i got married, i wanted to name my son Rong Tian. I believe names should be given by the parents. And i don't really like common names, though somewhere in the world, there are thousands of Princetons and Rong Tians. But at least my own group of friends/relatives, there are none.

Kept telling Princeton that he will be having a mei mei soon. I pointed at my stomach everytime i said mei mei. When i asked him where is mei mei? He could point at my stomach. There was one time, when zhenyu asked him where is mei mei? Tian tian pointed at zy's fat fat tummy! Wat kaoz.....

Princeton can recognised shapes. Last time he could only place the shapes accordingly. Now when i asked him, which one is Circle? Square? Triangle? Star? Moon? He could show it to me. Other shapes like oval and diamond, he is still learning. He is also learning numbering now, and he can point at 1,2 and3! Oh ya, one thing i found out last week, he could differniate gd and bad cartoons on the dvd. When he saw the bad fish, he will hide behind the pillow, or will come and hug us. haha!

Though sister always said Princeton boy is like a baby, in terms of looks and character. But i told her, he can received instructions very well ya. Take your bag, take your shoes, bring your bottle to auntie, lie down on the sofa, switch on the tv/fan., are things that he can understands. He likes people to praise him, we always did. haha. SIster n mum said he abit Hao Lian type, keke.

Last nite before we went to bed. Tian was lying between me and zhenyu. Tian was rather tired, but refused to sleep. He was looking at the photo albums. Zhenyu discussed afew issues with me, regarding renovating the masterbedroom, painting the house, buying a bigger car, our outcoming daughter etc. We chatted like half an hour. Suddenly, Princeton looked at us and told us to keep quiet????!! He used his finger on his lips and said shhhhhhh..... we found it soooo hilarious! we laughed out loudly. Princeton boy used his hand to cover daddy's mouth then said shhhh again. HAHAHA! How i wish i could video out that scene!

Fussed over Maid's issue!

Been a month plus since i update my blog... haha... my readers cannot be bothered to come into this website le. Hopefully not! My routine for the past 2months are quite standard, so nothing much to emphasize also, hehe....

But yesterday, i found out something, regarding my helper. She had worked for us for 14 months, and finally she started to show her true pattern. I found out that she bought a handphone and had been msging very often. I saw it a few times, but could not confirmed, until i saw it with my own eyes. I thought she was using the hp which i left it in my room. I had a spare hp which i told her, she can use it to call me or zhenyu if something happened. I also allowed her to sms her friends if she wants. But she got to put it back after she used, so that she won't have the habit to keep using.

I confronted her, and asked her why does she had a hp??? She told me, that she borrowed from her friend, who lives upstairs. I bought her story, and told her that she got to return it, she said ok. Yesterday evening, when zhenyu came back, he acc Princeton at home, while i brought my helper to return the hp. She looked nervous, and said can she return another day. My answer was of course NO. She tried calling her friend, but no answer, i told her no need to call, we are going up now. Her expression gave her away.

Her friend lived on the 14th storey. Is an indian family.. I politely asked the owner, could i talk to their helper, as we wanted to return this hp to her. The male owner was very friendly, and invited us in. He told me that his helper doesn't have any hp, and he felted very puzzled too. He asked his helper Jogi, and clarify with her. She just kept quiet. Just then, my helper said this hp belonged to another friend, which lives a few blocks away. So now the story is, jogi borrowed this hp from a third party, and lend it to my helper. Although the 3 of them knew each other. Loop holes everywhere, and i began to feel frustrated! I told the two of them, WE will go to your another friend's house NOW, and i will clarify with her! Both of them went silence. The male owner was very angry too.... and scolded his helper. I looked at my helper and i asked her : Did u buy this hp? Don't tell one lie to cover another! She then nodded her head.

I apologized to the owner, and thank them for their time. I felt like a clown, making a joke at other people's house, where in the end, is my own helper's fault! I reason out with her, and told her i will not want to see her use the hp. Not even sms... only at nite, where Princeton is asleep, she may free to use. I am really very disappointed with her. Decided not to renew this troublemaker.... haiz.. gona waste $$ and time finding another again. Zhenyu scolded her, until she cried.... haiz.. though he sounded very harsh, anyway she deserved it.

Tmr my helper going for her off day. She is not suppose to have any off days. But she requested for it one month ago, as her neighbour came over spore to work, and tmr is their first off day, they wished to have a reunion chat. I promised her earlier on, and don't wish to break it.

People may think that i am too lenient to my helper... Yes i admit that i don't scold her, alot of things i closed one eyes. I don't wish to be harsh on her, as i understand that, coming all the way here to work, is not easy. And that she might feel lonely and sad. Thats y we treat her well, in terms of food, and i make sure she got enough rest. The most important reason that i cant be too harsh on her, is bcoz i have Princeton at home. What if she acted like one crazy nuts, who felt mistreated, in the end torture my son??? or even kill him??? I can't take the risk, so i rather be nice to her. Hopefully she will appreciate me.

Good helpers are not easy to find. haiz..... i don't expect very good ones, as long as dont tell lies, and take care of my children, complete my housechores, dont make my mum unhappy, can le, haha.
