Princeton boy doesn't have phonics lesson today, as the enrichment classes will be closed till end of Dec for school holidays. Tian slept till 11am!!! While xin as usual is an early bird, woke up at 730, and i carried her outside for breakfast cereal.
Brought her for a walk downstairs and then bath her. After that i took a shower too, then woke up my boy. Actually decided to bring them to a new place for water play, but the weather was foul... it was about to rain soon. So i brought them to Great World City, there is an indoor playground, recommended by a gd friend:) We reached at 1.30pm, had our lunch there, and shop for some clothes... My lil Ps had too many clothes, and i can't stop but to buy more. hee... Need a new wardroom soon.
After shopping, brought them to the playground called Amazonia. It wasn't as big as kids Explorer, but it's very colorful and many interactive games. There's a bistro for food and drinks too. The most interesting is the slide! Whoa... Very high lol. Even me as an adult had some phobia. But i need to slide it down to encourage Princeton and Paris.
The challenge is not about sliding down. The problem is getting up to slide! I mentioned about very high yea? Yup, no lift to go up, got to climb all the way up! And my challenge is ~~~ To carry 12 kg Paris all the way UP UP UP. Luckily Princeton boy is very independent. He is not afraid at all, had the strength and adventure to climb on the way up. Bravo my son!
The lil Ps had a great fun at Amazonia, maid was with us, and she helped to take videos and photos. Paris played for an hour, and could see she's really very tired. Let her took a nap first, while her brother enjoyed for another hour. After chasing and crawling with Tian, I was completely shag out. Slide till my backside pain:p We had some small bites at the MacDonald, Princeton wanted to have orange juices. Xin was awake when we are having fries. We left GW at 730pm. Tian concussed in the car 2 minutes after we left the car park!! He was too exhausted, HAHA.
I carried him home, and put him on the sofa. He continued zzz for an hour plus, then meimei woke him up. Now the both of them having biscuits at the living room.
Whatever places that's fun for the children, i like to share with my friends, and i will tell them about it. Will be happy if they can experience the same enjoyable:) If they visit the same places as me, i won't see that as 'copycat'. When people follow what we do, we should be glad and proud that we can influence others. But only thing i dislike is when others have the same nick/names as my children. For strangers whom i don't know, of course i don't care. But close friends and people i know, of course i will be displeased if they chose the same nick/name. There are one thousand and one words in the world, i don't see why they need to chose the same as their friend's one. For example, i always call Tian as Princeton boy, and the both of them as lil Ps. Now i see ppl calling their child like this too. There are so many nicks we can think of for our children leh.... why can't people be more creative. Anyway, Nick still can close one eye, but for names, phew.... so far no one will be so thick skin to name it as Princeton & Paris.
Not that I'm petty or narrow minded. As i said, strangers i don't care, bcoz i don't even know the person and it can't affect me. But if people esp my close friends got the same name or same pronunciation as my children, i will definitely be displeased, and i will straight away sound it out. Of course in a nice way... Again, there are a thousand a million words and character, there is no need to clash it with our friends. I am 100% sure that everyone will mind, some of us don't sound out doesn't mean we don't mind. But deep inside we are really sad, disappointed and angry. So, why do we need to leave this forever bad impression.
For me, children's name must be name by Parents. I understand many people would prefer finding a shifu to do some calculations and choose a good one for their child. Before we do that, we got to find out our elderly names, in order not to have the same with them. To me, it's disrespectful to 'step on' elderly name. Be it same word or same sound. My fil had told me it's bad for the child if this happened. So whether is it superstitious, or is a form of respect, i will do my homework well, and ensure the names i had chosen do not clash with any of my relatives.
Back to the outing today.... haiz, i took many photos today! But my camera SD card got problem uploading:( The reader or the card is faulty:( Got to buy an eternal card reader tmr.
Missing hubby now... hope he can be back early morning tomorrow.
