Zachary first visit at our lovenest

This year is indeed  a properous rabbit year!! I have got so many friends giving birth. So happy to see newborn bb:) Love carrying them, haha..... Hubby and i both enjoy seeing babies, esp newborns. Thats why both Tian & Xin are so affectionate towards infants!

Last Friday, my sis brought Zachary over at 11am. My mum and i went to the market to whip out all the good food, to welcome my sister back home after 6weeks! Wahaha!!! As first time Parent, sis would feel stressful and especially Zac suffered from colic:( She felt more assured to come over my place, whereby i could help her with zachary. I told her bring my maomao over every alternate days, its okie, i'll ask mum to stay at home and lets help out together.

My sister and siyong both hands on in taking care of Zachary. Esp night time.. Sis's mil only will oversee during daytime for an hour or so? Then her mil will leave to attend her shop lol. Thumbs up sister!! You are such a noble mummy. I encouraged her, after she started working, leave zac over at mil place during daytime, and evening bring him back. She agreed and siyong two hands up to give her the support. My bro inlaw's concept tally with mine, cannot leave children with our parents overnight. We should take ownership to take care of our own children. Parents already took so much hardship to raise us up, now still wanna be your maid to help you day and night?? Morally really not right.

Paris screamed out loudly when zachary came. She was excited, kept wanting to touch zac. But she still young, dunno how to control her strength, so we got to be very careful. (some more she so big size :p) My nephew indeed likes our place, he could take his nap for an hour plus!! Thank God, haha... Sis and i were so relieved, at least he didn't cry non stop.

Mum cooked a feast for us that night. I'm so glad my mum stay with me, every evening i would have nice dinner with soup. Even weekends, she will cook if hubby and i intended to stay at home. She preferred Tian and Xin to eat homemade food.

Zachary is 5kg as at 6weeks old. Really very 'long' baby, heehee!!! Just like my sis and siyong. This baby is very observant, he kept looking around when he reached my place. Obviously he knew this is a new environment. When people walk passed him, he would sense it and try to catch attention. This cheeky boy... He loves people to pat him to sleep, and he likes to be carried right up, instead of hugging him in arms. One more thing, he enjoyed air con!

Sister had slimmed down back to her normal weight. Fast ya? She belonged to slimmed type anyway, plus she do well in her confinement, sweat alot and managed to get rid of the wind. Well done:) Just left with a small tummy like me lol... difficult to have flat and trimmed tummy, haiz... just hope it don't grow any fatter.

Yesterday i brought Princeton over to Delroy's house. Both of them had a great time, and played non stop for 3 hours plus. They played toy guns, cooking set, watch Cars 2, had sandwiches and fishball noodles together. Delroy could communicate quite well with Princeton. When i heard their conversation, i can't help by laughing out, haha!! P: Delroy you want kopi? D: no i want tea. P: Now beri hot, you wait ah, i blow. D: faster i want drink! P: I cook very nice, you want put kachap? D: I put chicken very nice also! I put alot of kachap! P: NO! I put alot, you put little bit!

They will exchange dishes, interesting..... No much fighting this time, heehee... though Delroy still whined when Princeton played with his toy car. Delroy would say: Cannot bring home! Princeton would answered: I WANT! his makes Delroy fumed. heehee.... Gladys and i just watched one side and let the boys to entertain each other.

Hope to resume our TABLE Gathering real soon. So many full months to attend! Praised the Lord for little children.

Sunday at Botanic Garden

Yesterday which was Saturday, we had a gathering at our place with Princeton's ex teachers and one of his classmate, Ashley's family. Ashley had a brother Jethan who was 5 yrs old. His ex classmate Steven was supposed to join us, but went back to Myanmar last month. Steven was Princeton's favourite playmate!

We prepared curry, fried bee hoon, fried scallop and fishball. The guests ate alot and praised that the curry was fantastic! haha... Well, mum helped me with the food actually, i don't have the time to cook as Sat after Tian's phonics, we attended my Poly friend, Shiling bb girl full month celebration. This weekend was indeed packed, hubby suggested to me not to arrange such tight schedule the next round, heehee...

Today we went to the Botanic Garden, to let the children get in touch with natural air and environment, instead of shopping centres everytime. Next week, the dad is going to bring us to Marina Barrage for kite flying and picnic! :)
Princeton enjoyed the one and a half hour walk! He is at a stage of asking the WHY WHERE WHAT WHO WHEN HOW. Though quite long ago, he had been asking Why Why Why, now he had all the 5W 1H. He is a curious child, and is very knee in learning. The questions kids are asking are often very interesting and they really can give very creative answers. Me: Princeton are you a good boy? Tian: No mummy, i am a good MAN. Me: wow, so what can good MAN do? Tian: Good man can be superman and spiderman (then show me how the hand released spiderman's web) haha!!!
Tian: Mummy, you want to eat lelibes? (vegetables) Mummy: Yes, i want, thank you. Tian: Why you like? (Before i could answered, he said: Bcoz eat already can grow tall tall and play basketball right?) hahaha!! I nodded and said yes yes, you faster eat. Tian replied, no thank you, i already very tall. (>.<)

Princeton could tell us how he feel. For example, he is too cold or too hot. He is tired hungry already. He is able to express and tell me whether is he  happy, sad or scared etc. Today he skipped his nap again, but we were contented he did not throw tantrums:) He just asked daddy to carry him after almost 2hours of walk at the garden. We wished to train his stamina to walk for long hours, to keep him fit as well.

Paris was far too tired, it was her nap time actually... Though she wanted to nap, but her eyes were wide opened, looking at the scenery and the fishes and turtles. She dozed off on her car seat while we were on our way back. heehee.... I wished to enroll her in kids gym. Daytime, i could bring her there myself. To train her motor skills as well as to let her interact with peers. Because apparently she really don't like strangers:( Yesterday during the gathering, she was so moody. She was tired as well, plus seeing so many unfamiliar faces makes her feel very insecure.

The only time she was smiling, was when the children were running and playing with balls. Hopefully she can be more open towards people, just like her brother. Although Princeton also needs time to warm up, but he won't whine like meimei lol.

Yesterday, we saw how other kids behaved during meal times. Zhenyu agreed that he seldom can see children who can sit still and have their meals on a table. Except his own boy.... Jethan who is 5 yrs old, run around the place, and his mum was chasing him with a bowl of bee hoon. Ashley behaved the same way, driving the car while mummy feed her spoon by spoon. Hubby then added on, he was glad Princeton was taught to sit still and finished his meal. Princeton will set a good example for xin to follow.. I told hubby that whatever the child had or could achieved, we shouldn't treat it as 理所当然.

There was an incident happened during the gathering. Ashley's hand was hurt by the main door. She cried out loudly and was shouting in pain. Princeton was the first one who put down his gun and rushed over for her. I quickly took out the zambuk and Princeton immediately applied the medication on her. He blew on her finger and told her no pain no pain. We as Parents felt very 欣慰, and his ex teachers commented Princeton 比自己的哥哥还紧张。Jethan saw it but got no reaction, just continue playing his gun.

Somehow i felt that, Yes, we are proud that our child are clever, because they can count from 1-20? or 1-30? Able to say abc, can even write at the age of 3 or 4. Can sing and dance very well. For me, i don't praise for all these. I will tell Tian to keep it up, or you can do it. Praising unnecessary will make the child feel arrogant and hence 自豪。To let them feel confidence, Yes we should. 但不可以把真厉害或真聪明挂在嘴边。My cousin advised me, only praised when the child did something morally right, example to throw the litters into the dustbin, to tidy up their bed, to keep their toys, to fold their clothes etc. We then should praised them and encouraged them to do it more often. Moral education is one level which children nowadays lacking in. My cousin also told me, abc, 123 singing dvd are secondary. Try to intro them with documentary, let the child be interested in 大自然,and get in touch with the environment, to love their earth.

I couldn't agree more on his sharing. Let's get our mindset right and set the right track for our children:)

Goodbye Picnic, Welcome Estima!

This blog was written on the 13/09/2011

Today was a tedious day for me.  I never thought of describing the word TIRED in taking care of my lil Ps. At least when I'm with them, i had a sense of accomplishment. But today, i felt exhausted.

Zhenyu had an important class with his student today, therefore i went to collect our car this early noon. It took me 6solid hours! Plus the traffic, i only get to reach home at 730! The whole afternoon was so hot and hazy. Zhenyu better compensate me with a facial package! My complexion needs a good therapy!

I brought Picnic for a tyres exchange, as hubby prefer our own rims and tyres. Waited so long for the Estima to arrive. While waiting, I went to the next building to enjoy a plate of waffle with cookies and cream ice cream. After that, I drove to Sim Ming Road, to set up the audio system. Zhenyu wanted to get a new monitor as well as a new reverse camera. It took almost 3 hours! There was only one technician doing it and he was considered very fast.... because by right there should be 3 people doing it.

I was very satisfied with this deal, as we had been searching for an Estima long time ago, but couldn't get a good price. It was a 4 yrs old car, but the interior was very well maintained. I just hope this car will last us till 2017.  Do not wish to spend on car again, as we would want to park our $$ for a second property instead. Can't wait to start work... but at the same time, i am enjoying the precious moment, that is, bonding with my children.

After making the payment and collecting of car, i drove to Changi Naval base to fetch Zhenyu. The traffic was damn jam, and on the way home was worst. Luckily hubby choose to take public transport home everyday.

We were glad that we were able to own our dream car. (Of course without the need to borrow $$ from parents or friends) This is one of our couple goal to have this car 5 years ago.  Although Estima is not a fantastic branded car like BMW or Mercedes Benz, but I'm proud to have it before the age of 30. We do have other goals, and we shall work towards it for our future, for our children.

I not only take photos of my Tian&Xin everyday, but also video:) I hope to capture their everyday activities, their smiles and laughers. Sometimes i do video when they cried, haha!!  The one thing i wanted to see, is their love for each other. Sometimes xin likes to disturb korkor, sometimes Tian wanna irritate meimei. It's a pleasure watching them grow together.

Paris is one years old!

Thank you everyone for their wishes and their blessings. Our gem Paris Tay had fully recovered and returned home on the 9th September last Friday. It was her actual birthday as well, and my mil had specially made some red eggs and bought her two cakes. My mum bought a new pair of shoes, and a new set of clothes for her too. These were the tradition things we would do when the child turned one month old and one year old. Of course during full month, mil bought Tian& xin a necklace each and my mum bought them ankle bracelet.

My lil Ps were very blessed and fortunate to have many people buying them presents. Thanks for the presents and angbaos! They enjoyed alot, especially the Toy Cakes from Uncle William and the Car puzzles from Aunty Xiaolin! My pil very generous, gave a very big red packet for their precious granddaughter. I shall save it up for them:)

Sat, we attended Zachary's full month celebration. This nephew of mine is becoming more and more handsome! Good looking features and nice hairstyle! So proud of my Zachary:) Yiyi's love love. I hope he can stay with us during weekends, so that he can be close with me and his cousins.

Paris was hospitalised for one whole week at TMC. These really drained our energy. And that week happened to be my crucial week for my assignments. Guess I'm not going to get fantastic grade for it..... When the nurses were trying to take a simple blood test for xin, her brother rushed over and refused to let the nurses get near her. "No cannot! No touch meimei!" The scene was funny and yet touching. The nurses were stunned, and asked how old is he? We said 3, and they were amazed how protective a brother can be.

We were glad Tian&xin had great bonding, and they really love the companion of each other. Whenever Tian came back from school, xin would be so delighted to see him, and kept laughing out loudly. Every night, korkor sure will kiss her gdnight and hug her tightly before he sleeps. I do hope the siblings will continue to be so close and lovely.

Thank you God for lil children. Thank you God for giving me the lil Ps. They are indeed my Pride and Joy.

Paris hospitalised at TMC

Her fever strikes back badly on 2nd september. I thought she was recovering already.... but who koes this deadly virus couldn't let her off. This time it brings on vomiting as well. So Friday night, i brought Paris to TMC together with my helper. Zhenyu was having duty that night, i told him its okay, i can handle the situation.

Initially the doctor planned to give us antibiotics and monitor further at home. He said Paris still look cheerful and active, doesn't look sick and painful. (Although the fever was 39.9) But i insisted to admit her, because the fever had lasted more than a week. The doctor agreed and we did the admission that midnight. This is my child, and i will decide for her. We cannot rely everything to the doctor. We as Parent got to be decisive and have opinion, especially when it concern our children. Imagine everything listen to the doctor, i think the situation will become fetal. There wasn't a single bedded room, so we stay at a 2 bedded room for half a day. The service was quick, and we were moved to a one bedded room on the next day.

Paris appetite obviously had decreased. She doesn't want her favourite biscuits anymore. Only continued her milk intake. The test had confirmed she was down with Urine Tract Infection (UTI). Commonly among baby girls especially. There were levels to grade the seriousness of UTI, but we have yet to know which level Paris had fallen into. She need to be fully recovered from her fever first, then do a scan on her bladder and kidney to find out how bad is she affected.
People asked, how did it happened? Is it because of the food she eat? Or the hygiene problem? The answer is NO. Princeton had fever last month. He recovered very quickly and i believed these virus had been spread to his sister. We thought it was normal fever, but it attacked right into the Urinary Tract. Paris is still a very young toddler, she doesn't have the immune system to fight it off like Princeton boy. That's why the situation gets worse:(

Today we were supposed to have a Family lunch to celebrate Paris birthday. Zhenyu and i had ordered the cake last week. So, we went to collect the cake and brought to the hospital to celebrate with her. Paris was very happy, she could feel the love we gave her:) My inlaws was heart pain of course, but no one can feel the pain as much as me. Both of children are very stick to me, but luckily Paris likes my helper too. Phew.... Thats why my helper stayed overnight to take care of her. Zhenyu was there too, and will come back around 4am midnight. He will ensure Paris is sound asleep then leave.

My superblue (Tian) was so sticky. I really have no time to do my assignments. Three projects to submit next week!!! Tmr zhenyu is on childsick leave, and he will oversee at the hospital while i rushed my assignments at home. Once i finished, i will go and fetch Princeton boy from school then go visit meimei together.

I pray for my daughter fully recovery, and God please bless the people around me to be in pink of health. Please bless me with the energy and strength to take care of my children. No matter how tired i am, i will want to be the one to take care of them. Not my mum, not my inlaws and not my helper.
