Happy birthday my beloved sister!!

Many people will celebrate their birthday with the spouse or children. Some will celebrate with friends and siblings. Birthdays are happy occassion which are special to our parents. A day to thank them for giving birth to us. A memorable day to give thanks to them:) Therefore every year, my mum will cut cake with us. Of course it would be perfect if we can get a chance to celebrate as a whole family! (With Uncle William and our cousins) And a bonus if there are friends along =) What i'm trying to say is, our birthday symbolised the day to thank our parents, esp mother for bringing us into the world.

I remembered when we were young, though there wasn't any posh or big parties, my mum would still buy birthday cakes for us. Yes... every year. We would take family photos, and wear new clothes. Our mother deserve to celebrate our birthday with us!

This morning, i went to the market to buy fish and chicken, as sis would be back for dinner! I bought a cake as well. Gave an ang bao for her as a pressie, haha.

Sis came straight after she off work. Therefore she didn't bring Zachary along. Siyong was in overseas for work. We had a great dinner, and cut the cake. Princeton boy was delighted to see the birthday cake. Excited to blow off the candle lol.

Sisters are like rainbows. They bring in 7 great emotions in my life. Joy, laughter, anger, jealousy, dreams, surprises and companionship. You're the rainbow of my life dear sis. Wishing you a great and smooth sailing year ahead. Happy Birthday!

KSL Trip @ JB

As planned, hubby drove us to KSL today. We reached at 1130, and leave at 530!!! Luckily we managed to enjoyed an hour of foot reflexology:) Paris napped 2hours, yeah! She shopped till very tired as well i guessed! Haha.

The first thing we did when we reached, was to find a nice place to settle Paris's lunch. She had fried rice and mushroom soup. Then we shopped for her clothes and bought a whole chunk of dvds. Went to Tesco for groceries as well. Time passed very fast! Soon, it's 5pm, and we quickly end our shopping with Auntie Anne's lemonade juice and Cheese and Turkey Pretzels (new flavour).

I was so sleepy.... dozed off in the car. Paris was wide awake, watching her high5. Thank God i have hubby who drove us thr&fro. Carrying all the heavy things. That's why i love shopping with him, wahaha!

Time to burn my midnight oil. Assignments yet completed, deadline this Friday. Yet i still can go shopping. RELAX.... RELAX..... Too much haste, not enough speed. I still got tomorrow, YES! Be positive:)

Overall, we preferred KSL than Jusco. Hubby said will explore other places next weekend. This weekend, we are attending wedding dinner on saturday and i have ex-poly classmates gathering on Sunday.

A gathering at Jerry's BBQ&Grill

Thanks Uncle William for getting us together once again!! We had lunch at Jerry's last Sunday. A pity cousin Andrew cannot join us... Nice chicken wings and nachos!! Pork ribs and beef were great too. I guess I'm becoming a meat eater like Zhenyu:)

Paris enjoyed eating the grill fish, she ate half of it, and zhenyu finished the other half. Princeton only ate the whipped potatoes plus some fries.. Luckily i brought one whole loaf of milk bread:p Princeton don't really like western food, he preferred Chinese food like rice and soup. I do hope he can learn to eat new food. Paris on the other hand eats everything under the sun. That place was cosy, seems like we had booked the whole restuarant that afternoon, heehee.... thanks uncle william for the treat! Paris was busy eating and forgotten about her nap. When we left at 3.30pm, she KO all the way till 7pm!

Yesterday was zhenyu's off day. He said wanted to bring us to JB for some shopping. After sending Princeton to school, he drove us to Jusco, a big and spacious place with an indoor playground at the top floor. Paris enjoyed the trip, though i'm a bit lousy, tired after walking for 3hours.

Tomorrow zhenyu having another off day again:) He suggested to explore KSL. Hope we can see good deals for clothes and groceries.

Sat without Zhenyu

Zhenyu was on shift today. He had a choice to choose either today or tomorrow. But we will be celebrating sis's birthday with Uncle William and cousins tomorrow!

Princeton could tell which day for which lesson. He woke me up this morning and told me it's Saturday today, school for phonics:) He dislike Monday, always complain i don't want to go school on Monday. He knew Tuesday will be his keyboard lesson, Wednesday Speech and Drama, Friday Chinese enrichment. I really hope all these can perks up his passion and enthusiasm. I don't belonged to kiasu parents, or typical ones who always want their child to be number one, typical parents who hover all round protection for the children. I want them to be independent, to be confident, to stand firm. I just try my best to let them the things they are interested through a happy environment. Minimum stress and zero unwillingness.

Tian as usual had his phonics this morning. Brought him for lunch then we head home. He had some playtime with xin, then both of them took 2hours nap. Woke up at 6pm, and i prepared them to go for dinner. Decided to bring them for good food, so maid never tag along. Actually thought of going to Soup Resturant, but i drove to West Mall instead. haha.... We went to Mayim for dinner. Ordered fried rice for the children, and wantan mee for myself. I like the dessert Red bean with banana. Finished everything by myself, opoos. Tian and xin enjoyed the fried rice, xin ate more than the brother. Haha.

Though sat without hubby can be quite bored. But i felt it had been a quality bonding time for me and the lil Ps alone. Whenever i bring them out alone, or when there's only me, they appeared to be exceptionally well behaved. Whenever there are friends or when my mum around, all their pattern comes out. Haiz....

One bad news. After eating the wantan mee, my left eye swollen till i hardly can see. I'm so doomed....... Ate 4pieces of wantan, with big prawns inside. Seafood are really very poisonous. I had been warn to avoid it. SOb sob...... hope can subside by tmr!!! If not must wear sunglasses to take photos!

Happy Valentine's Day with Tian&Xin

Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends!

Zhenyu on shift from 2pm to 10pm today. We brought Paris to TMC this morning for review. Another costly bill, even though no test given today. After which, send him to the airport for his duty then head home. I was very tired today, because slept really late last night (burning oil for my assignments), and woke up at 7am. Almost dozed off while driving from changi all the way back to Jurong. Coaxed Xin to nap and i fall asleep too. Jumped up at 430, took a quick bath then picked tian up from school.

My mum cooked nice bee hoon soup, all of us ate one big bowl. After which, i prepared tian and we set off for his Keyboard lesson at 8pm. He really likes it alot, especially when teacher asked them to come out to perform. I hope through all these can build up his confident to speak. After the lesson, we went to the library, read him two storybooks, then we left to Pioneer Mall. He said he wanted to eat rice and soup.

That's how i spend my Valentines day with my precious children. hee....hee... No need expensive dinner, no need big bouquet of sunflower. And seriously, i don't have the heart to leave the children at home and went out dating with Zhenyu. Unless they are schooling, then fine.

Sunday, Tays Quality Time ",)

Woke up by the LiL Ps at 7am this morning. Hubby was awake very early too, (i guess he set alarm clock, as maid will be leaving the house at 830am) Even though Paris and maid were always together. But they were never close. Paris waved goodbye to her when she saw Clarence's outfit. My gem knew maid is going out:)

If my children sticks to maid or my mum more than they want me, i would felt I'm a failure. Of course i need a helper to ease my burden, so whenever Paris is grouchy, maid is able to handle. I learnt to let go, if not will end up like Princeton, whereby only i can pacify him.

Hubby don't involved much in handling the children. Bcoz he is busy at work, plus his recent schedule becoming a shift work (due to Spore Aircraft show). But at least weekends, or whenever he off, he only spend his time with us and nothing else. Yes, he is very blurred, and very forgetful. If you see how he changed clothes for Paris, you might laugh your jaws out. The new dress my sis bought for the Lil Ps, Zhenyu wore the cardigan inside, and the whole dress he thought was bottom dress.

Don't get misunderstood... i only nag for fun. I knew i got the world best husband, and i am trying to do my best to be a good wife as well as a responsible mother.

We prepared the children and brought them to Vivo city for dim sum. Crystal Jade needs to wait half an hour, which i will never want to wait. hee.... To me, i don't like to wait or q up or good food. Unless with friends, i will compromise. If not, i don't feel the need to wait, there are one hundred and one other restaurants. So we went to The Bosses instead.

This is our third time there. But first time for the dim sum! Zhenyu like it, and say it's better than Crystal Jade. We got another choice for morning breakfast next time. Tian&Xin both likes the Pork Congee alot. They both can finished one whole bowl. After eating, we head to Singkids (again) Been one month since we last brought them to an indoor playground, hee... The weather was scorching hot today, and last few weeks! So there's no chance to bring them for outside sports. Waiting for a cloudy day to bring them out for a swim.

Left around 4pm, i wanted to have Bak Ku Teh for dinner. Therefore hubby drove to Alexandra food market, we dabao home. He needed to rush to Changi Airport at 6.30 for his duty. It will last till the next morning 8am. He was sorry that 14th Vday will be gone, bcoz he is on duty for the whole day. I assured him, it's ok. To me, Vday really means nothing. It's just another marketing strategy for businesses to make more money. Yes, hubby always send me Sun flower during dating times. And sun flower is the most expensive type, instead of roses. But now, i really don't see the need for all these extravagant spending. I only want him to love my children as much as he dote me. That's all i asked for. He said he never can do that. Dot dot.... I don't need big diamonds, big golds, just give me more money for my children. haha.

The happiest thing is to see Tian&Xin having good appetite. To see they eat alot and be healthy. Both just had a big bowl of rice with brewed soup. Now they are having animal biscuits with fruit juices. The other day, Xiaolin was asking me to take note of Tian's weight, make sure he don't get overweight. HAHA!!! Tian is 105cm and weigh 20kg. Amazingly he is of ideal weight! For his height, 32 kg then considered overweight. I am confident, as long he don't get obsess with tidbits and junk food, he will not become an obese child.

I had seen many children having problem with meals. They dislike rice and porridge, hate noodles and cereals. Only like biscuits, ice cream, chocolates and deep fried stuffs. These either makes them fat and unhealthy, or makes them under nutritious, becoming thin and underweight. Children will see us as a motivator. Whatever we eat, encourage them to try as well. I'm thankful Tian loves soup as much as his dad. And Paris like vegetables just like me.

To me, as long they finished their decent meal, whatever tidbits they eat is fine. But definitely no tidbits before main meal.

Continue putting weight my LiL Ps!

When we on the way home, both KO in the car, carried them back still deep asleep lol. Exhausted ^^

Dinner @ Han's Chevrons

Jasline, my secondary school buddy called me yesterday. She wanted to meet us for dinner today. I agreed, and tried asking May and Xiaolin along too. But they couldn't make it.

We had dinner at Han's. Order quite alot of food:) Glad that the LiL Ps enjoyed the companion of Jas &Mic. They like to play with children alot. Paris is getting more sociable to her surrounding people. No longer behave like a mountain turtle, whereby she was scared and started crying whenever people get near her. Paris especially love babies as well as toddlers. She would touch their faces and hands to be friends. Jasline asked me, are you very happy all the passerby praised you got two lovely children? I replied her, saying yes i am happy, and i appreciated God's gift.

We went to the mini library after dinner, and the place was rather crowded with older children. Princeton was very impatient when people took away his toys, and got agitated when 3 girls gang up against him. I don't blame other children at all, even though they appeared to be much more older, i can't expect they give in to Princeton. Princeton just got to learn to be more patient, and choose to play other toys.

Children fighting is really very common. Just let them be, and i would only step in when Princeton beat others physically, or vice visa. If everything we need to get involved, i doubt they can solve nuts in the future. I detest parents who always think their child is God, King, Emperor. Only your child can scream, can play loudly, can shout happily. The rest cannot? Only dumb and mute children don't do that. Children bound to be noisy, bound to play wildly. As long they don't go violent, everything is fine. So let's open out our heart, accept all children, like they are ours.

Jasline said, next time when she got her own child, she wanted to bring them everywhere like me. I was delighted that she started with a positive mindset. Do hope to hear her good news soon:)

Tomorrow is Sunday, Family Day! Hubby is going to bring us out for dim sum and shopping. Gave maid off day tmr as well, anyway we won't be at home. Happy weekend everyone!

A visit to TMC

Thank God Princeton boy was all well yesterday. He recovered faster than i thought, no cough at all this morning. His appetite was back to his top form, and was back to his milk intake this morning. Got to make sure he had his daily dose of fish oil and his Vit C...

Unfortunately, Tian spread the virus to his lil sister:( Xin started to have some symptoms of running nose, coughing on and off. This morning after sending Tian to childcare centre, i quickly go buy breakfast for mum and maid. Then to the market to buy vege for tonight's dinner. Then quickly hurried home. As mum saw me carrying Paris and went out without maid, she said she wanted to tag along. I told her it's OK, i can handle Paris, you go visit grandma later. She insisted to follow... I usually dislike bringing maid outside, because of many reasons. (Need to settle her lunch, need to take note her whereabouts, etc) Very troublesome. Felt more carefree when I'm alone with Paris. Moreover she had tonnes of housework undone. I rather come home to see the house neat and tidy.

When Princeton fall sick, I'm not that worried, because he will be ok after seeing General Practitioner. The medication GP gave is effective for Princeton as well. But when Paris is sick.... no need to think... straight away i got to bring her to TMC to see her Paediatric -Dr Ang Ai Tin. Paris only gets well when she had the medication from TMC. No where else.... so gonna spend a bomb today. I do not wish to wait until she cough with phglem that is so serious that she needs to be nebulise again. Nope. This will never happen again. (Last september is the last time!) So this time, i will not treat it any lightly, i rather to be paranoid abit. Just go TMC to see Dr Ang.

Well, people who like Dr Ang, really like her style alot. People who don't like, detest her. I like her thoroughness, and her clear definition. She don't asked me what happened to Paris. She examined her lungs, her throat and took a blood test and a flu test. Then she gave me a conclusion and good explanation. Unlike GP, they asked you what happened, and just prescribe those general medication. Total cost today is $224, excluding my carpark $12, my teabreak delifrance $15, and Paris favourite organic biscuits $28.

If Paris can recovered asap, only took one day like her brother, few hundreds bucks also worth it. What's the point of keeping all the $$ in the bank, then let our child suffered. Very silly... If GP medicines works for Paris, of course I'll be more willing to save the money. But if a child is sick for more than 3days after all the colorful syrups, then we should bring them to PD instead.

Flu test result is negative. Not influenza A nor B, just common flu. But blood test results show bacteria infection, which means infected by somebody at home. Dr Ang then asked is someone sick at home. Yup.... the brother is the culprit.

Please grant my daughter with speedy recovery. We wanted to bring them out to the Bird Park this weekend!!

My Darling babies

My Princeton boy having a bad cough today. It started since Friday, abit of slight cough, and it got worsened yesterday. It was my fault as i brought him to MacDonald's for big breakfast. The eggs must had aggravated his cough:( He had vomited thrice since morning. Brought him to the doctor yesterday after his phonics. Princeton boy is my darling bb, who is sensible enough to sit down and eat his medicine. (Though my heart really breaks, to see him being so uncomfortable)

Princeton don't really feel extremely dizzy after medication. He is still as energetic and lively. He got to avoid all diary products for 3 days, if not, diarrhea will be next. Certain foods will cause the stomach to become more irritated and should be avoided. He just got to avoid food containing dairy products, i.e. milk, yoghurt, eggs etc. Dairy products feed the flu bug residing in your stomach. Fortunately Princeton understood these theories, and he asked for Honey drink and glucose water instead. (Don't forget he is a milk addict, and he deserved a big praise for that) Some things we as parents just need to be firm. Every children are different, every children are difficult. There are no children who cannot learn. There are only parents who cannot teach. 天下没有教不会的孩子,只有不会教的父母。That's why certain times, i got very frustrated with myself when Princeton misbehaved. He got very mischievous and spoilt when there are friends and relatives around. Bcoz he knew i will not disgrace him in public.

He got the virus from the school. (More than half of his classmates were having flu and coughing) But I don't blame the children, bcoz passing virus to one another is really very common, and it's a transition period. To me, they just gonna go through and get immuned by the process. What i can do is to make sure Princeton is fit and healthy to fight off the infection asap.

I am not as lucky to have the Lil Ps separated. Of course i tried my best to keep them further apart, and no sharing of food... Neither do i have the heart to bring Paris out shopping and leave Princeton at home to rest. My boy is feeling uncomfortable, and he needs me. I would feel the same if Paris was the one. No double standard.

Princeton boy still behaves briskly alert, the color of his face is still good. I pray that he could regain fully recovery soon. My mood went very temperamental these few days. PMS bah.... haha.. Assignments, mum kept nagging about maid, hubby kept forgetting things, Tian's cough, household budgets, my retarded PC, my weight!

Well, the sky can't rain forever, let's hope for a great day tomorrow! ^^
